As amended on 4/16/2025: - Prohibit elementary and secondary schools, including public, private, and charter schools, from using biometric identification technology, but allows use for: - Fingerprinting prospective employees to comply with education laws or regulations; - Fingerprinting teachers, administrators, and students to securely log into digital devices for academic or administrative use; or; - Identifying employees who have given written consent, or whose employee organization has provided written consent if they are union-represented.
