As introduced: - Prohibits an employer from using an electronic monitoring tool on an employee unless used to accomplish certain purposes. Restricts the use of the data and prohibits selling or transferring the data to another entity unless required by law. - Prohibits requiring employees to physically implant devices that collect or transmit data, install applications on personal devices, or carry location-tracking applications on devices except under certain circumstances. - Requires an employer that uses electronic monitoring with an automated employment decision system to conduct an impact assessment. - Requires an employer to use an automated employment decision tool for an employment decision to conduct an impact assessment and provide notice to the employee. Restricts uses of an automated employment decision tool. - Prohibits procurement or use of automated decision systems by state government without an impact assessment.
