As amended on 6/9/2025: - Requires, on or before January 1, 2027, that a generative AI system that is made publicly available for use post certain information regarding video, audio, text, and data from a covered publication used to train the generative AI system. - Requires, on or before January 1, 2027, a generative AI developer to disclose information regarding crawlers used by the developer. - Defines "covered publication" as any print, broadcast, broadcast network, or digital publication service that performs a public information function comparable to traditional journalism organizations, such as newspapers, broadcast news operations, and magazines. - The 6/9/2025 amendment makes changes in enforcement.
