As introduced: - Requires a person or entity that knowingly uses personalized algorithmic pricing using consumer data specific to a particular individual to include a conspicuous disclosure stating: "This price was set by an algorithm using your personal data." - Prohibits any person, firm, entity, or agent or employee thereof, from using protected class data in setting, offering, marketing, or selling a price for any good or service if: - The use of that data withholds or denies any accommodations or advantages accorded to others; or - The price of the good or service is different than the price offered to other customers or groups based in whole or in part on the use of the protected class data. - Authorizes a court to impose a civil penalty of up to $1,000 for each violation.
