As introduced: - Requires operators of companion AI chatbots to verify the age of all users using standard age verification, obtain verifiable parental consent for minors, and block minors' access to sexually explicit chatbot communication. - Requires operators to notify users at the beginning of an interaction, and hourly thereafter, that they are not interacting with a human. - Designates a violation as an unfair and deceptive trade practice, authorizing the Department of Legal Affairs to impose civil penalties of up to $50,000 per violation.
