As introduced: - Prohibits charging a consumer a higher price for goods or services based on their collected personal information, a practice defined as "surveillance pricing." - Requires a clear disclosure to the consumer when a price is set using a surveillance method, stating "This Price Was Set By A Surveillance Method Using Your Personal Consumer Information." - Excludes a discounted price offered through a loyalty, membership, or rewards program in which consumers affirmatively enroll. - Establishes a private right of action for an aggrieved person to sue for violations, allowing for the recovery of damages, civil penalties, and attorney's fees. - Voids any provision that requires a consumer to waive their rights under the act.
