As introduced: - Prohibits an entity from providing, advertising, or otherwise offering therapy or psychotherapy services, including through artificial intelligence, unless the services are conducted by a licensed professional. - Restricts a licensed professional from using artificial intelligence to make independent therapeutic decisions, directly interact with clients for therapeutic communication, or generate treatment plans without professional review and approval. - Requires a licensed professional to obtain written informed consent from a client before using artificial intelligence to assist with supplementary support, such as recording or transcribing a session. - Makes a violation of these provisions an unfair or deceptive practice under the Consumer Protection Act.
