As introduced: - Requires political material generated by artificial intelligence that advocates for a candidate or ballot issue to include a disclosure. - Prohibits publishing an artificial intelligence-generated endorsement of a candidate or ballot measure by a representation of a person. - Prohibits a candidate, committee, or public official from using artificial intelligence to create or knowingly distribute deceptive depictions of a candidate or public official. - Prohibits a public official from using artificial intelligence to manipulate depictions of events of statewide or national importance to influence public opinion or an election.
