As introduced: - Requires a disclosure on materially deceptive AI-generated content depicting a historically recognized human disaster when published or distributed with knowledge of its deceptive nature. - Requires online platform operators to provide labeling tools for such content and prohibits them from stripping AI provenance metadata. - Exempts satire or parody, bona fide news reporting, or broadcasting or streaming services that air AI-generated content if they have and provide required disclaimers to advertisers, or platforms or publishers that initially distribute materially deceptive AI content when that content is supplied by a third party. - Authorizes the Attorney General to enforce and prohibits the creation of a private right of action for violations.
