As introduced: - Requires providers of generative artificial intelligence tools to apply provenance data to synthetic content and to make provenance application and reader tools publicly available. - Requires large online platforms to retain provenance data on user-posted content and make the data or an indicator of its availability visible to consumers. - Requires manufacturers of capture devices, such as cameras and mobile phones, to include a feature for users to enable the inclusion of provenance data in captured content.
