As introduced: - Requires K-12 public schools and public universities to adopt policies and procedures regarding student use of artificial intelligence. - Mandates the policies include measures to detect and prevent the unauthorized use of AI in coursework, establish guidelines on authorized use, and outline consequences for violations. - Requires training for relevant school and university employees on the new policies and the responsible integration of AI into curricula. - Establishes an annual reporting requirement for schools to the Dept. of Education and for universities to the Board of Regents on the implementation of these policies.
