As introduced: - Prohibits designing, developing, or deploying an AI chatbot that solicits sexually explicit conduct from a minor, creates explicit content for a minor, or encourages self-harm or violence. - Requires entities that provide AI chatbots to employ a reasonable age-verification process for all users and prohibits minors from accessing or using an "artificial intelligence companion." - Requires AI chatbots to disclose at the outset and every 30 minutes that they are an AI system and not a human. - Prohibits chatbots from providing licensed provide professional advice. - Establishes criminal and civil penalties for violations and creates a private right of action for harmed individuals to seek exemplary damages.
