As enrolled: - Prohibits a health insurer from using an artificial intelligence tool to deny, reduce, or defer a request for health care coverage without a final determination by a qualified health care professional. - Requires a health insurer to provide prominent written disclosure to enrollees if artificial intelligence is used to assist in utilization review. - Requires a health insurer to annually certify to the Department of Insurance that its artificial intelligence tools are fair, accurate, and non-discriminatory. - Authorizes the Department of Insurance to investigate violations and impose disciplinary action on insurers.
