As engrossed on 4/10/2025: - Establishes the Artificial Intelligence Systems Use in Health Insurance Act. - Establishes that the Department of Insurance's regulatory oversight of health insurance includes oversight of the use of AI systems and predictive models to make or support adverse consumer outcomes. - Requires the person with authority to override the AI systems and the determinations of the AI systems to be a clinical peer. - Requires a review of any health insurance issuer regarding the development, implementation, and use of AI systems or predictive models and the outcomes from the use of those AI systems or predictive models. - Requires any decision-making process for the denial, reduction, or termination of insurance plans or benefits that results from the use of AI systems or predictive models to be meaningfully reviewed. - Requires disclosure of AI system of utilization. - Makes health service plan corporations subject to the provisions of the Act.
