As introduced: - Prohibits food stores and food departments from suggesting items or adjusting the prices of any item in the food store and food department directly or indirectly based on the biometric data of individuals collected on the premises of a food store and food department. - Allows food stores and food departments to permit customers to use biometric data solely to voluntarily verify their identity at the point of sale, as long as such biometric data is used solely for identity verification purposes. - Subjects violating stores or departments, upon conviction, to payment of the amount of actual damages or $5,000, whichever is higher, for recovery.
