As introduced: - Prohibits state and local government entities from using face recognition technology, except with a warrant or under a well-established warrant exception. - Prohibits the department of motor vehicles from using face recognition technology or allowing its database of facial images to be used for face recognition purposes. - Renders evidence obtained or derived from a violation of these provisions inadmissible in most legal and administrative proceedings. - Establishes a class A misdemeanor penalty for unlawful use of face recognition technology.
