As amended on 1/5/2026: - Regulates the use of generative artificial intelligence by attorneys, requiring that confidential, personal identifying, or other nonpublic information is not entered, the usage does not unlawfully discriminate against protected classes, and reasonable steps have been taken to verify accuracy, correct errors, and remove bias, offensive, or harmful content. - Prohibits a brief, pleading, motion, or any other paper filed in any court from containing any citations that the attorney responsible for submitting the pleading has not personally read and verified. - Prohibits an arbitrator from delegating any part of their decision-making process to any generative artificial intelligence tool. Requires disclosure for any usage. - The previous version of this bill related to land use, but those provisions were replaced in the 1/5/2026 amendment.
