As introduced: - Consolidates authority for implementing the state's ban on procuring certain technologies that pose a security threat under the Office of Information Technology Services (OITS). - Broadens the scope of technology subject to procurement restrictions by removing an explicit exclusion for automated decision-making systems. - Creates an exemption from procurement restrictions for unmanned aerial vehicles and related equipment, provided certain data security and software origin conditions are met. - Requires state and local entities to notify OITS of any waivers for restricted technology that are granted by a federal agency.
