As introduced: - Prohibits deployers from making chatbot "human-like features," such as those that mimic sentience or seek to form emotional bonds, available to minors. - Requires deployers to use reasonable age verification systems to prevent minors from accessing prohibited features or chatbots that are designed as "social artificial intelligence companions." - Bans minors from using chatbots that are designed as "social artificial intelligence companions." - Limits the user data that a chatbot deployer may collect and store to the minimum necessary for a legitimate purpose. - Makes a violation of these provisions a prohibited practice under the Virginia Consumer Protection Act.
