As introduced: - Authorizes the Department of Central Management Services to enter into a sole source contract to establish a 6-month pilot program testing artificial intelligence procurement tools in up to seven municipalities with populations under 200,000. - Requires the contractor to conduct a procurement modernization study, develop and test a proof-of-concept AI tool, and analyze contracting equity for small and diverse businesses. - Requires the Department of Central Management Services to prepare draft administrative rules or legislative proposals for broader procurement modernization initiatives based on the results of the pilot program.
