As introduced: - Requires the Department of Criminal Justice Services to establish and publish a model policy for law enforcement's use of covered artificial intelligence (AI) systems that prohibits discriminatory use and outlines authorized uses and data practices. - Requires state and local law-enforcement agencies and sheriff's departments to adopt and publicly post a written policy on the use of covered AI systems that meets or exceeds the state's model policy.
