As introduced: - Creates the crime of unlawful use of a personally identifying feature, defined as using an individual's fingerprint, voiceprint, eye scan, or facial map in an advertisement, deepfake, image, video, voice recording, or other digital depiction, including a deepfake, without permission. - Classifies the offense as a class 5 felony, or a class 4 felony if the use is done with the intent to cause harm. - Authorizes a civil cause of action for a harmed individual to recover damages and reasonable attorney fees. - Exempts certain uses, including for news, public affairs, commentary, satire, parody, and specified government and law enforcement activities.
