As introduced: - Requires employers subject to the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) Act to disclose when a mass layoff is caused in whole or in part by artificial intelligence or automation. - Requires such disclosures to include the estimated percentage of positions affected and a brief description of the technology that contributed to the workforce reduction. - Directs the Department of Labor to maintain a public database of these disclosures and publish quarterly reports analyzing workforce reductions resulting from AI or automation. - Establishes a two-year pilot program within the Department of Labor to evaluate the impacts of the new disclosure requirement.
