As introduced: - Defines "artificial intelligence fraud" and creates a civil cause of action for persons or entities damaged by it, allowing for compensatory or statutory damages of at least $500 per violation, plus attorney's fees. - Allows courts to award punitive damages for knowing and willful violations and to issue temporary or permanent injunctions to restrain the fraudulent use of artificial intelligence. - Holds persons or entities that knowingly develop, deploy, or facilitate artificial intelligence systems for fraudulent purposes jointly and severally liable for resulting damages.
