As introduced: - Creates the Artificial Intelligence Public Safety and Child Protection Transparency Act. - Requires large frontier developers to create, implement, and publish a public safety plan to assess and mitigate catastrophic risks associated with their models. - Requires large chatbot providers to create, implement, and publish a child safety plan to assess and mitigate risks of harm to minors. - Mandates that developers and providers report critical safety incidents and child safety incidents, respectively, to the attorney general. - Authorizes the attorney general to enforce the act, imposing civil penalties up to $3 million on large frontier developers and up to $50,000 on large chatbot providers for violations.
