As introduced: - Creates the Tennessee commission of insurance review with authority to enforce insurance regulations, review complaints, and order remedial actions. - Requires that claim or coding reviews conducted using artificial intelligence be reviewed and approved by a qualified human healthcare provider. - Prohibits, beginning July 1, 2026, a single entity from concurrently owning or controlling both a healthcare provider and a health insurance entity. - Establishes several prohibitions on health insurance entity practices, including "downcoding" claims, "lasering" individuals in stop-loss plans, sending enrollee medical data outside the U.S., and making material contract changes without a 60-day notice and negotiation period. - Prohibits a health insurance entity from reimbursing providers differently for the same service based solely on the provider's professional license classification.
