As introduced: - Establishes standards for the use of artificial intelligence in utilization reviews, including requiring that determinations are based on an enrollee's individual clinical information. - Requires disclosure of how AI is used in the utilization review process in each policy. - Prohibits a health carrier or utilization review organization from using artificial intelligence to deny, delay, or modify a determination to provide health care services. - Requires a licensed health care provider to conduct an independent review of a claim before a health carrier may issue an adverse action.
