As introduced: - Prohibits food retail establishments from using personalized algorithmic pricing or using protected class data to set different prices for different people. - Requires food retail establishments larger than 15,000 square feet to use nondigital price displays and prohibits the use of electronic shelving labels. - Prohibits food retail establishments from collecting or using the data of persons under 17 years old for targeted advertising or personalized algorithmic pricing. - Makes a violation of these provisions an unfair or deceptive act under the Tennessee Consumer Protection Act, punishable by a civil penalty of up to $7,500 per violation.
