As introduced: - Prohibits the knowing distribution of an electoral deepfake within 90 days of an election unless the communication includes a disclosure that the content was generated by artificial intelligence. - Authorizes a candidate depicted in an electoral deepfake to seek an injunction to prohibit its publication and establishes civil penalties for violations. - Exempts communications that constitute satire, parody, or certain news reporting from the prohibition.
