As introduced: - Prohibits the knowing distribution of an electoral deepfake within 90 days of an election, unless the media includes a disclosure that it has been manipulated by artificial intelligence. - Allows a depicted candidate or political party to seek an injunction to stop the publication of the deepfake and establishes civil penalties for violations. - Exempts content that constitutes satire or parody, as well as certain broadcasts by news media.
