As introduced: - Creates the Automated Driving Systems Development Act to establish a permit-based pilot program for operating highly automated vehicles, limited to Cook, St. Clair, and Madison Counties. - Establishes a review committee within the Department of Transportation to review pilot project applications and incident reports and provide recommendations to the Secretary of State. - Requires autonomous vehicle operators to maintain a public information portal and publish detailed reports, including video and sensor data, following a crash or other specified incident. - Prohibits operators from selling or sharing evaluation data, including sensor or camera feeds, except as required for public reporting. - Repeals the Act on January 1, 2030.
