As enrolled: - Creates the crime of distributing nonconsensual synthetic sexual material and expands the crime of sexual exploitation of children to include the creation or possession of AI-generated child pornography. - Establishes felony offenses for developing or distributing an AI system designed to create child pornography or promote self-harm. -Creating felony offenses for developing or distributing AI systems designed to create child pornography or promote self-harm. - Provides civil liability immunity to an AI system developer for harms caused by a user, unless the system was developed with the knowledge that its primary purpose would be for illegal activities.' - Prohibits the use of an artificial intelligence system by a person to commit a criminal offense from being used as a defense to a criminal charge.
