As introduced: - Requires operating system providers to establish an age verification system and provide a digital signal of a user's age category to online platforms upon request. - Requires online platforms to use the age signal to implement default privacy settings for minors, including restrictions on location sharing and a requirement for parental consent for all financial transactions. - Prohibits providing an "addictive feed" to a minor or sending related notifications between 12 a.m. and 6 a.m. without first obtaining verifiable parental consent. - Makes a violation of the act an unlawful practice under the Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act.
