As introduced: - Requires large online platforms that are also generative AI tools to provide a mechanism for individuals to remove their digital replicas and to establish a process for reporting violations. - Expands the definition of criminal false impersonation to include the use of a "digital replica" with the intent to impersonate another. - Establishes new civil liabilities and damages for the unauthorized creation or distribution of a person's digital replica for commercial purposes, defamation, or impersonation. - Authorizes the Attorney General or a city attorney to bring a civil action to enforce the Act's provisions against AI platforms and seek civil penalties.
