As enacted: - Prohibits providing, advertising, or offering therapy or psychotherapy services unless provided by a licensed professional. - Allows the use of artificial intelligence to provide administrative and supplementary support in the delivery of therapy or psychotherapy services within the scope of practice if the licensee maintains full responsibility for interactions, outputs, and data used and the patient grants written informed consent. Prohibits denying treatment to a patient for refusing to consent. - Prohibits the use of artificial intelligence to make independent therapeutic decisions, directly interact with clients in therapeutic communications, or generate therapeutic recommendations or treatment plans without review and approval by the licensee. - Allows a private right of action.
