As amended on 1/5/2026: - Requires a companion chatbot operator to prevent, rather than simply take "reasonable measures", the chatbot from producing sexually explicit visual material or conduct when it has constructive knowledge a user is a minor. Requires the operator to prevent the chatbot from facilitating the exchange of sexual material. - The previous version of the bill related to conflicts of interest for public officials, but those provisions were replaced in the 1/5/2026 amendment by provisions relating to chatbots.
