As enrolled: - Prohibits knowingly or recklessly creating, using, or disseminating a deepfake to produce materially false information with the intent of interfering with a voter's decision to cast a ballot, misrepresenting facts about voter registration, voting methods, election results, electoral processes, or election official duties, inducing someone to sign or not sign a ballot petition, or influencing a voter's decision on a candidate or ballot issue. - Exempts satire, parody, radio or television broadcasting stations reporting on bona fide news, or an online publisher. Establishes civil and criminal penalties. - Requires the State Administrator of Elections, upon receiving a credible report of election misinformation or disinformation, to disseminate correct information and authorizes the administrator to seek injunctions and issue subpoenas, but not against interactive computer services for content disseminated by users. - Authorizes the State Board of Elections to file a civil action and seek damages against entities that publish election misinformation or disinformation.
