As introduced: - Requires providers of generative AI systems to include both a manifest (visible or audible) and a latent (metadata) disclosure in any content created or altered by their systems. - Requires licensing agreements for generative AI systems to prohibit a licensee from removing the latent disclosure and mandates license revocation for violations. - Requires covered social media companies to label content when machine-readable data indicates it was generated or altered by an AI system and prohibits them from deleting this data. - Prohibits making available any tool or service primarily designed to remove the required latent disclosures or to add fraudulent disclosures to content.
