As introduced: - Requires all insurers to make publicly available on their website a searchable list of all items, services and medications that require prior authorization. - Requires insurers to report annually regarding approval and denials of prior authorization requests and other data. - Establishes requirements for certain insurers pertaining to development and use of clinical review criteria. - Establishes limitations on how artificial intelligence may be utilized in clinical review criteria and ensure that AI is not used to replace clinical decision-making. - Establishes a task force to study the use of prior authorization and its cost to the healthcare system.
