As introduced: - Establishes a civil cause of action for digital impersonation, allowing an individual to seek a court declaration that a piece of synthetic media is fake. - Authorizes an expedited court process for a preliminary declaration if the impersonation is sexual, depicts a crime, or is likely to cause significant personal, financial, or reputational harm. - Permits a person who is not a public figure to recover injunctive relief and damages if a sexual digital impersonation was published with actual knowledge that it was fake. - Shields interactive computer service providers from liability for digital impersonation content created and published by a third party.
