As introduced: - Requires deployers of publicly available chatbots to implement harm mitigation protocols and limit the collection and storage of user information. - Prohibits, through the use of reasonable age verification, a minor from using or purchasing a publicly available chatbot. - Creates an exception for a minor to use a chatbot designed for mental health support if it is recommended by a licensed professional and meets specific safety, testing, and disclosure requirements. - Authorizes the attorney general to enforce these provisions and establishes a private right of action for the parent or guardian of a minor who uses a non-compliant chatbot.
