As introduced: - Establishes safety requirements for conversational AI services interacting with minors, including prohibitions on producing sexually explicit content, simulating romantic relationships, and using unpredictable rewards to increase engagement. - Requires operators of a conversational AI service to disclose that the service is AI if a user might reasonably believe they are interacting with a human. - Requires operators to adopt protocols to respond to user prompts regarding suicide or self-harm by referring the user to crisis services. - Prohibits a conversational AI service from representing that it provides professional psychology or behavioral health services that require a license. - Grants enforcement authority to the attorney general, establishes civil penalties for violations, and specifies that the law does not create a private right of action.
