As introduced: - Requires financial institutions to provide customers with fraud prevention tools, including an account safety lock and the option to designate a trusted contact, and to place temporary holds on suspected fraudulent transfers. - Expands the crime of computer fraud to include impersonation scams conducted via voice communications, including AI-generated speech, and soliciting remote access to a person's electronic device or account. - Creates the Georgia Financial Fraud Victims Relief Fund to reimburse eligible victims for uncompensated losses up to certain limits. - Authorizes the Attorney General (AG) to bring civil actions for violations and requires the AG to create a fraud reporting hotline, conduct public awareness campaigns, and develop law enforcement training on technology-enabled fraud.
