As introduced: - Prohibits behavioral health care providers from using artificial intelligence to provide direct clinical services, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, or counseling. - Authorizes providers to use artificial intelligence for administrative support tasks if they independently review AI-generated information, ensure patient data is not used for AI training, and notify patients of its use. - Requires providers to obtain written informed consent from patients before using an AI system that could materially affect clinical decision-making or patient-facing services.
