As introduced: - Prohibits a chatbot from using input or personal data as training data without consent. - Prohibits using a chat log for targeted advertisement, profiling, retaining a chat log for more than ten years, or providing financial, legal, medical, or any advice from a licensed professional. - Requires clear and conspicuous warnings to a user that the chatbot is not a human at the outset and after every hour. - Requires a developer to allow a user to inspect the user's chat log. - Requires an operator to provide a comprehensive data security program with monthly testing. - Prohibits an operator or developer from selling a chat log, discriminating against a user for not consenting or for accessing a chat log, or advertising that the chatbot is capable of providing licensed services. - Designates a violation of these provisions as an unfair, abusive, or deceptive trade practice and creates a private right of action.
