As engrossed on 4/16/2026: - Prohibits an evaluator from using an artificial intelligence (AI) tool to assign a score or rating for any evaluation component requiring professional judgment for the evaluation of a teacher. Allows the use of AI tools to support evaluators with administrative tasks, as determined by a joint committee. - Requires an evaluator to disclose the name and purpose of any AI tool used to the teacher being evaluated. - The 3/26/2026 amendment provides that a teacher is prohibited from using an artificial intelligence tool to generate evidence of professional practice that will be used by an evaluator to evaluate the teacher's performance; however, an artificial intelligence tool may be used by a teacher to support the teacher in administrative tasks.
