As enacted: - Requires conversational AI operators to use age estimation on account holders. Requires a disclosure to minors that the interaction is not with a human at the outset and once every three hours. - Prohibits offering rewards that encourage engagement or producing sexually explicit content or simulating emotional dependence for minor users. - Requires offering tools for users and parents to control privacy settings. - Beginning in 2027, requires a disclosure to all users that the interaction is not with a human, at the outset and at least once every three hours. - Requires the implementation of a protocol to respond to user prompts about self-harm by referring the user to a crisis service provider. - Prohibits implying that output is provided by a licensed professional. - Makes a violation of the act a deceptive trade practice.
