As introduced: - Eliminates the state prohibition on local governments enacting rent control measures (page 6). - Makes it a violation of the state's antitrust act for landlords to use rental price-setting software or otherwise coordinate on setting rental prices (page 28). - Prohibits business entities that own over 100 single-family residential properties from acquiring additional properties for lease, and requires entities owning over 1,000 such properties to wait 90 days before purchasing a publicly listed property (page 33). - Creates tax credit for a project to redevelop a structure that was originally developed as a shopping center to provide appropriate and affordable workforce housing (page 21).
