As prefiled: - Authorizes the State Administrator of Elections to disseminate correct information, seek injunctions for the removal of election misinformation or disinformation, and issue subpoenas for related records. - Allows the State Board of Elections to file a civil action and seek damages against an entity that publishes election misinformation or disinformation. - Prohibits the knowing or reckless dissemination of a materially false deepfake with the intent to influence an election or voter. - Establishes that a violation of the deepfake prohibition is a misdemeanor punishable by up to a $5,000 fine and/or 5 years imprisonment.
