As introduced: - Prohibits a person or entity from offering, providing, or advertising mental health services delivered by artificial intelligence, and makes a violation subject to a $10,000 civil penalty under the Consumer Protection Act. - Prohibits a licensed mental health professional from using artificial intelligence for therapeutic purposes, including making clinical decisions, generating treatment plans, or interpreting a patient's emotional or mental state. - Permits a mental health professional to use artificial intelligence for administrative support if the professional assumes responsibility for its output, and for transcription with a patient's written consent. - Classifies the misuse of artificial intelligence by a mental health professional as unprofessional conduct.
